Halloween Heads-Up

What with the big Sprint Cup race this weekend, some important items might get lost in the shuffle. So, because I love you, I thought I would mention…

1. All able-bodied Catholics must attend Mass for All Saints Day next Tuesday. (The obligation can be fulfilled Monday evening, too!)

2. Click HERE if you would like to read why I, for one, do not think Halloween is such a bad thing.

3. Click HERE for the Catholic defense against Protestants who fuss at us for ‘worshiping’ saints.

4. Click HERE if you can’t wait till Monday or Tuesday for the homily. “Trick-or-treating cannot hold a candle to keeping the Solemnity of All Saints.”

  1. Father Mark,

The notion that “we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses” [Hebrews 12:1] has always been an inspiring comfort to me. If we REALLY BELIEVE, we know they are there; we can know and emulate them; and we aspire to join them.

    LIH,
